This Privacy Policy describes how 22 LAAB Ltd (“22 LAAB”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the PillsReminder mobile application for Android and its Wear OS companion (the “App”). It supplements the general 22 LAAB Privacy Policy; where the two differ in relation to the App, this policy governs.
PillsReminder is a reminder and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always follow the instructions of your healthcare professional.
1. Our privacy approach
The information you add to PillsReminder — such as the names of your medications and supplements, doses and schedules — can reveal health-related details. We treat this as sensitive and design the App to collect as little as possible and to keep your information under your control.
2. Information in the App
Information you provide
- Medication & supplement details — names, dosages, forms, quantities and notes you choose to enter.
- Schedules & reminders — the times, frequencies and rules you set.
- Adherence records — your logs of doses taken, skipped or snoozed, and refill/inventory information you enter.
Information collected automatically
- App & device data — limited technical information needed for the App to function and to deliver reminders reliably (for example device and operating-system information and notification settings).
- Diagnostics — if enabled, basic crash and performance data to help us fix problems and improve stability.
We do not require you to create an account to use the core reminder features, and we do not ask for more personal information than is necessary to provide them.
3. Where your data is stored
Your medication and reminder data is primarily stored on your device so the App can remind you even without a connection. If, in the future, optional features such as backup or sync are offered, they will be clearly described and you will choose whether to use them; any such processing will remain subject to this policy.
4. How we use information
- to deliver your reminders and notifications on your phone and Wear OS device;
- to record and display your adherence history and refill alerts;
- to provide the App's features and remember your settings;
- to diagnose problems, maintain security and improve the App;
- to respond to your support requests.
5. Permissions we may request
The App may ask for certain device permissions, used only for the purpose described:
- Notifications — to show your medication reminders.
- Alarms / scheduling — to trigger reminders reliably at the right time.
- Run at startup — to restore your scheduled reminders after the device restarts.
- Wearable connection — to deliver reminders to your Wear OS device.
You can manage permissions at any time in your device settings.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal or health-related data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only in limited cases:
- Service providers that help us operate the App (for example crash-reporting or, if you enable them, backup/sync infrastructure), bound by appropriate data-protection terms and acting only on our instructions;
- Legal requirements where disclosure is required by law or to protect rights, safety and security;
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
7. Data retention & deletion
Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. You can remove individual medications or records within the App, and uninstalling the App removes its locally stored data from your device. If optional cloud features are used, you may request deletion of the associated data by contacting us at info [at] 22laab [dot] com .
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because core data is stored on your device, you can exercise much of this directly within the App; for anything else, contact info [at] 22laab [dot] com .
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Keeping your device secure (for example with a screen lock and up-to-date software) also helps protect the data stored in the App. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
PillsReminder is intended for use by adults, or by carers managing medication on behalf of someone else. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a child uses the App, it should be under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
11. Third-party platforms
The App is distributed through, and relies on services from, third-party platforms (such as the Google Play Store and Android/Wear OS). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide notice within the App or by other appropriate means.
